My name is John. I am a senior software engineer for a financial product firm in Manhattan writing applications with an amazing group of people. In my spare time, when I am not hacking, you may find me gaming, cooking or drinking beer with my friends.

I use whatever language fits the job. I have been programming in C/C++ since I was twelve, and am currently mastering the Ruby on Rails framework for my writing and reading community, Type Aloud. On occasion, when I feel the need to transmit my voice, I'll write some words on my blog.
